HĀLAU KEʻALAKAHINANO O PUNA
Hālau Keʻala Kahinano O Puna, under the direction of Kumu Hula Joy Keōpūolani Salvador, was founded in 2008 on the island of Maui. Ma kahi o ka hula he ola ma laila. Where there is hula, there is life. We serve kaikamāhine and wāhine ages 3 & up. We are located at 250 Alamaha St. Suite N6 in Kahului, Maui, Hawaiʻi.
Kumu Hula Joy Keōpūolani Salvador
Kumu Joy is the moʻopuna of Amber Sophia Keōpūolani Dutro and Blanche Keʻalakahinanoopuna Wilson. Born into the traditions of hula, Kumu Joy is humbled and proud to walk in the path of her kūpuna. Hula has been life for Kumu Joy consciously and subconsciously since birth, and teaching has is her passion. Being able to critically think and creatively contribute to her community and the world through hula is her greatest honor. “Hula has been the door to my destiny and I owe hula my life.”
